Been using it since it came out and had very few problems or issues with it at all. Tabbed browsing, huge range of add-ons, no Active X, no pop ups..all in all a great experience.
I would never go back to IE again simply because of its huge insecurities, exploits (as evidenced last week) are common and indeed malware is starting to target FF..however it still has a tiny footprint in the malware world compared to IE.
"Had it but not now got a virus crashed computer all Firefox fault my advice steer clear" Quote from Quong above.
Err the fault was you not Firefox, your anti-virus protection and antispyware/malware should have kicked in, to blame the browser is foolish unless it was an infection through a known exploit, even then your security could have kicked in if set correctly. Steer clear or dodgy websites and stop opening emails from spammers, that might help you more than changin from FF.

Hmm..
I use both FF and IE.
FF is good for the tabbed browsing, like Opera was before thay started charging for it.
But I still use IE mainly, I realy don't have the issues that others seem to have with it.
I don't get popup's, it warns before letting you download files or activx controls etc etc.
I don't think those complaining are keeping up to date with Windows / MS Updates.
I don't use the Windows firewall, my router has one built in which seems to work very well, I use AVG free and Windows Defender Beta 2 and have absolutely no problems at all.
I am considering testing Ewido ( AVG ) instead of Windows Defender.
I never open unsolicited email attachments or read Hotmail etc. via the web. I use Outlook to poll all my webmail accounts.
Occasionally I read my Gmail account using their tasktray tool.
Haven't had any nasties for several years now.

I've been using it for quite a while now.I've had no problems with it,in fact, I love it!
One of the things I like about it is that you can add themes and add-ons that you want and ignore the ones you don't want.
Right now I'm using their Halloween theme. It's pretty cool.
Two add-ons I would highly recommend are,Adblock and McAfee's SiteAdvisor.Adblock will help you block some of the most annoying ads on websites out there.McAfee SiteAdvisor has to be downloaded at the McAfee web site.It warns you(as you surf the web and use search engines) of any problems with the website your on or about to go on,like viruses,adware,spyware,spam...etc.
Happy surfing!

I prefer the lighter Camino on OSX, or sometimes Safari, though I like the extensions for Firefox - they're very good for going to sites that have a lot of adverts and popups (because they all get blocked!)

garbage sounds harsh. i does no longer call it garbage and nonetheless i'm no longer utilizing it. I cant understand the finest guy conserving it really is a source hog. i became below the effect it really is form of light-weight. in spite of everything, i'm on Opera. i'd say i'm fanatic. on the different hand, it really is not any longer each man or woman 's cup of tea. you be conscious it really is totally W3C strict and that can make you scream your lungs out at cases you get admission to poorly coded pages. it truly is extremely some cases to be honest. inspite of this, i'd opt for one man or woman to come back up with one 0.5-good rationalization why someone would opt for to position in Google Chrome. I recommend come on, it really is not any longer as if facebook does no longer have already got you ever by skill of the balls, do you extremely choose some different person storing your deepest files besides? if you're on internet Explorer i'd recommend you to attempt both firefox and opera. both will look lighter, swifter and contained in the lengthy time period, you'd be doing significantly better with any of those 2 than with IE. as well, in case you position in both truly one of them, you receives to work out how Firefox "borrows" constructive homes of Opera with each and each new version. and that is a heavily quoted """borrows""" ...

I'm a web designer so I'm not too fond of it, although I like that it blocks pop ups better than IE does. A lot of webpages don't look, work, or function the way they would in IE (and that's bad), plus FF is rather slow when loading web pages.

The majority of people using FF really love it (I personally didn't!!!). Only thing now is that because it's so popular, it's now getting vulnerable to attacks by virus writers. See here:
