Unfortunately, abortion is too big and diverse an issue to have one blanket policy for the entire nation. There isn't a big enough majority to please in this situation, thus a state by state solution is necessary.

I think they should have an amendment legalizing all abortion, and yes that would take the issue off of the national agenda, except a lot of people would not agree with me. And this is why it's still a hot topic.

No, Americans should make an amendment banning abortion. That would finally end the debate and deaths of 800,000 to 1.5 million Americans a year. Other countries would follow suit and ban abortions.

Why stop at nine months? I think a woman should have the right to "abort" a child up until and including five years of age.
I fail to understand how you can assume that the legalized murder of over forty million unborn babies since the Roe vs. Wade ruling isn't an "important issue."
The "what a woman does with her body" argument doesn't hold water either unless you are also willing to get rid of all public safety laws such as helmet laws, seat belt laws and drug laws. Because what a person does with their body is of no concern to the government, right?
A man has just as much responsibility do defend the life of an unborn child as a woman has a right to kill a "fetus."

Abortion actually is a very important issue because it ties into faith, which is a huge issue in itself. However, as I am pro-choice, yes I would like to see it legalized in an amendment.

I'm not following what you mean by "all abortion",
Is killing it at 7 months pregnant electively and perfectly legal not good enough for you?
And how would that change the issue that it is brutally murdering a preborn infant?
--If that happened, get ready to see WAY more newborns dead in the dumpsters.

In order for this to happen you need a majority of the people to believe it is the right thing to do. This is a minority view in this country and if any amendment to the constitution is passed it would be one that reflected the majority view of the people.

That would be so stupid. It would still be a debate because Congress could get rid of amendments, and so could the states individually. By doing such, it will actually heighten the debate. But why could they not just end abortion period? And this is an important issue, i guess a baby's life doesn't mean much to you, does it?

Conceiving or abort of a child may be considered as a natural right of a woman, but it has many social and economical complications. Sexual immorality and gender discrimination may come up as a major threat to human life in near future.
