Gordon was born in Scotland but was brought up in England after his family moved to Stratford-upon-Avon. He played football as teenager for Oxford United F.C.'s youth side and was spotted by a scout for Rangers. He completed trials for the Scottish club and became a professional player at the age of 15. Most certainly Glasgow Rangers during the Blue period in his life when he was probably better known to the referees for his 'SPECIAL' language skills. Seriously he suffered a very bad injury and had to give up the profession - no doubt to the relief of those poor biased match officials. He earns much more now for "stirring" things up !
