Sainsbury's do a wonderful line in cardboard boxes and I hear that some of the air vents at the back of expensive hotels blow out lovely warm air.....

I stayed at the Queen's Hotel at 33 Anson Road, Tufnell Park, N7 0RB, London for 29 pounds a night. We aren't talking the Ritz here, but it was clean and friendly, served a typical English breakfast included in the room rate and was a 5 or 6 minute walk from the Tufnell Park tube station, about 15 minutes from the city center. It was fine and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Sleep in a shop doorway for a few weeks, chat to the others and you will discover when and where the outreach teams come along, talk to them and tell them you need a hostel place, after a while they will get you into one, it's free if you play the game right.
