We are having a baby girl and I we don't know what to name her!! Please give your opinion. Looking for something different, soft, and with a decent meaning.

Girls:

Ruby
Heidi
Evelyn
Maanika (pronounced Monica) meaning ruby (my own name)
Lucy or Lucille, meaning bringer of light
Lacey or Lacy
Estrella (pronounced estraya)
Ava
Lola
Scarlet
Brooke
Victoria
Desiree
Charlotte
Renee
Anya
Anika (pronounced a-neeca or ann-ica

mix and match for a cool first and middle name.

and its best not to name your children something from the top 50 list because then people at school will end up calling them Emma B. or Jacob F. (not that they are bad names. they are quite nice in fact)

congrats! let me know what you name her!

i admire, LOVE Rowan Charlotte. extra innovations: Rowan Christine Rowan Lorelei Rowan Amelia Rowan Victoria Rowan Elizabeth Rowan Maria Rowan Kathleen Rowan Lydia Rowan Samantha Rowan Jacqueline Rowan Emma Rowan Michelle Rowan Annalise Rowan Eloise Rowan Isabelle Rowan Genevieve Rowan Cecelia Rowan Danielle Rowan Isadora Rowan Vanessa Rowan Natalie If I have been you, i would not use names like Kensley or Kinsley, they sound trashy and don't circulate nicely with Rowan - that's this way of beautiful call - in any respect. very solid success to you!

Here is a Website that gives you the history behind many names in many languages and cultures. It would be best if you browsed for yourself. You can also search the meanings there. For example "Aiko" means "love child" in Japanese.

Don't go for something too weird or difficult to spell. Don't pick a name that makes a 'joke' when added to your last name ('Eileen Dover'). Don't name her after some pop-idol. If she has older sibs, don't pick a name that is too close to theirs.

Suggestions.

Mandy. Marlene. Audrey. Barbara. Sharon
