WTF's an americal school?

Someone might be able to help once we know what americal means.

It's not in my dictionary, I looked.

The one that was a biodiesel hybrid with an obscene amount of power? It was built by the students at West Philadelphia High School, and they basically stuck a Volkswagen TDI engine and a very high powered electric motor into a K1 Attack kit car. Basic hot rodding applied to a hybrid.
