Just because you are a follower of God does not mean that the laws of men dont apply to you. Law is there to prevent whatever they are preventing and since you still live on this world you have to follow the rules and laws that the government has.

If they are Christians then you should recommend them to read their Bibles. Because it says that they must obey the laws of their land.

However the laws of man don't apply when it comes between you and your relationship with God.

For instance: If the law of the land says you must not cross the street on a red light, but if you see a baby stroller rolling by itself into the middle of the street, it would be very Christian to break that law in order to save that baby's life.

This is not true. once Jesus was ask by a Jew about paying taxes. LAW OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE. His answer was give unto Cesar that which is Cesar's and unto God that which is Gods. In another Scripture Jesus says that we are to Obey those who have charge over us. That servants are to obey and serve their masters. the only time we are authorized by God to be disobedient is when we are ask to do something that is contrary to Gods law. IE: lie murder etc.
