If you are given a triangle with measurements of two angles missing, how do you find those measures? For example, I have a right triangle. So, I know the measure of angle C is 90 degrees. I know that side A is 12mm, side B is 16mm, and side C is 20mm. How do I find the measures of angle A and angle B? The triangle is set up so that the 90 degree angle (angle C) is at the top. Straight across is the hypotenuse (side C; 20 mm). Angle A is on the lower right hand side (?), and in between angle A and angle C is the 16 mm side (side B). Angle B (?) is in the lower left hand corner, and in between angle B and angle C is the 12mm side (side A). And as I've already stated, in between angle A and angle B is side C (hypotenuse; 20mm). I hope this makes sense. It's hard to explain without being able to show you a picture. I know you have to use the Sin, Tan, and Cos stuff, but if anyone could explain to me how to find the measures of angle A and angle B, that would be great. Thanks so much!

sin a == side opp divided by hypotenuse
=12/20
=3/5
=37 degree.......... if one is 90, other 37, third is 57 by sum of triangle................hope u got it.... if u understood n answer correct pls pls select me best answer...........just kidding

To find angle A you can use any one of the trigonometry functions.

Sin A = opposite/hypotenuse = 12/20
Cos A = adjacent/hypotenuse = 16/20
Tan A = opposite/adjacent = 12/16

Once you have picked one of the functions, find the inverse of the function in order to find the angle measure. Or look up the decimal equivalent in a trig table to find the angle measure.

Angle B would be found in the same way, you just have to change the fractions that the trig functions would be equal to.

cos B = base/hypotnuse
= BC/AB
= 12/20
= 3/5
Angle B = cos inverse (3/5) = 53 degrees(approximately)

cos A = AC/AB
= 16/20
= 4/5
Angle A = cos inverse (4/5) = 36 degree( approximately)

draw it , with a ruler and a sharp pencil and them measure it with a protractor!!!
