Im off to america next week and was wondering if i buy any game/movies over there for my psp will they work on my english psp?

Actually, As Of Now, Any UMD Game From Any Contry Will Work On Any PSP.. Like, If I Wanted A Japanese Game On My American PSP, I Can Still Play It, However, There's No Guarantee That It Will Be In English (some games actually do..)
But In Your Case, You Don't Need To Worry..
However, Worry If It's A UMD Movie From Another Country..
Those Have A Region Lock.. So, If You, say, Wanted To Watch A Japanese Movie On Your Engish PSP, You Cannot Watch It Unless You So Happen To Have A Japanese PSP As Well..
Just Be Sure To See The Region Number On The Back Of Each UMD Box.. If I'm Not Mistaken, '1' Means It Works On Every PSP, Every Other Number Is Restricted To A Specific Type Of PSP..

No as USA ones are region 1 and the UK PSP only works with region 2.

Unfortunately no they won't as the UK is region 2 (PAL) - the only way to get them to work is to chip your PSP, which voids the warenty, or copy an AVI file of the american umd (which is techincally illegal) onto your psp using your usb cable.

The games will work. The movies are region locked.
