At one point this summer you could not carry water onto an aircraft even if you bought it in the airport after you passed the security check. That has now been lifted and you may bring water in your carry on if you purchase it in the airport after you have been through security.

Currently you cannot carry a bottle of water.
You can however purchase a bottle of water when you get past the security checkpoint and carry it onboard the aircraft.

Not from outside the airport. Once you get past the security checkpoints, you can purchase and carry as much as you'd like. (I wonder how much the stands are going to jack up the prices?? )

Restrictions on fluid have been lifted on flights now in the UK, but you have to drink some of it at the check in to prove its not dangerous.
