If you could do one thing to change the world what would you do and why?

I would first have to identify the root of each person's problems and start there.

You can not help people if you do not know the root cause of the problem.

I bet this is for a homework assignment.

I would change the way religion has become so partisan. True faith is morally abosolute, but the fanatasism that has spread around the world in various guises has meant that morallity, and common humanity, have been bankrupted in the name of power.

Ideally I would like to see the world's religions remodel themselves to better suite the people whom they serve, rather than trying to remodel the people to the ideology of one sect or another.

I would put George Bush, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, and all 535 members of the most cowardly, corrupt, incompetent, arrogant U.S. Congress in history on trial for high treason and international crimes against humanity. If they were convicted, I would force them to face public firing squads. It would be a fitting warning for all the rest of the world's corrupt, greedy, evil, selfish, profiteering, war-mongering bastards that they are no longer welcomed in our world.

Then I'd go on to try and reverse the effects of global warming; I'd work to get all the other nations of the world to join in an international peace initiative; I'd nationalize all corporations with earnings of more than ten million dollars a year so that their profits are more equally distributed and shared among their employees and customers (instead of their greedy CEOs and shareholders) and I'd ensure that these corporations paid more than their fair share of taxes; and I'd rid the airwaves of all the conservative-biased media moguls, the 'shock-jocks' like Howard Stern and Jerry Springer, and the moviemakers who disperse filth, violence, gratuitous sex, and evil into the minds of our youth. Finally, I'd revamp the political system in America so that corrupt politicians can't ever again hold the wicked power they currently have over our society. I'd turn the United States of America from a republic into a true democracy where the people rule (instead of their corrupt elected officials).That's just for starters. -RKO-
