The jury is still out.

It doesn't help that the most famous peice of " evidence " - the Patterson film - turned out to be a hoax. Or that many tracks are made by hoaxsters with fake giant feet. Deceptive practices such as these interfere with serious investigation.

A large mammal, a kind of deer was just discovered within the last year in Vietnam. Many people have no idea that coyotes not only live in the neighborhood but have raised pups behind their house. The ivorybill woodpecker, & the coelocanth are also excellent examples where the best & brightest were also the wrongest.

It takes hubris to imagine we know everything that exists.

I try to keep an open mind about these things.

Bigfoot does exist. It is a very large hairy primate probably descended from Gigantopithecus or one of the large hominids such as Homo erectus meganthropus or Homo heidelbergensis. Bigfoot is one of those mysteries that we are not supposed to believe in. Supposedly enlightened people will simply raise their eyebrows at the mere mention of it. Bigfoot is few in numbers and it is very cautious. I have seen what I believe to be bigfoot footprints out in the middle of nowhere that were obviously not hoaxed (obvious to me anyway). One night my brother and I while camping looking for evidence for bigfoot in a place with lots of sightings, we heard what I believe was one walking up on us. The ground crunching under its foot as its foot rolled along was absolutely terrifying. Hearing something that big walk up on you at night in the forest is somethink I will never forget and yet my encounter was very modest compared to what others have experienced. The evidence is overwhelming and and more scientists would get a little courage and examine the evidence, they would agree, that Bigfoot exists.

There is a lot of evidence that suggests that bigfoot does exist. I think he does. Where I grew up in Spottsville Ky there are legends of the "Spottsville Monster" While I have never had any encounters with this alleged creature I always heard a lot of stories about its existance. I dont think that the bigfoot debate will end until a body shows up.

doubt it but it is possibly there have been animals that escaped from zoos and managed to live for a while. Bib foot might just be an escaped gorilla or even a person with a condition like human werewolf syndrome. Also good job on asking about cryptozoology. We have been know to think animals extinct but find them coelth a type of lobe limed fishI

Yes. He managed a restaurant I used to work at. I think he had to retire because of the uncontrollable hand tremors due to alcoholism.
