lorans h is a big fool . you don't need to be a baby to celebrate Easter. it doesn't mean only presents, bunnies, . it means that :"Easter.I mean its abt the Resurrection of Jesus Christ who died on the Cross on Good Friday, den rose again 3 days later. Its to celebrate. the Resurrection"
i think Easter bunnies are to make (little) kids happy.presents are because people must feel happy because Jesus Resurrection.

the pagan roots of the European goddess Eastre. She saw a hurt bird and turned it into a rabbit, but it could still lay eggs. We all know about rabbits, right? Rabbits and eggs are symbols of FERTILITY. It was all a spring festival, hoping that the fields would be fertile, blah blah blah. The Easter bunny is a throwback to those old days before Christianity and Jesus and all that good stuff.

The word "Easter" comes from the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and feretility. The rabbit and the egg were symbols of fertility in ancient Egypt. Anyone practicing this observance is going against the Bible where it says at 2 Corinthians 6:17: "...get out from among them and quit touching the unclean thing."

the easter bunny has nothing to do with easter. everyone should be praying to the lord on easter instead of going easter egg hunting and this is coming from an 14 year old girl.

Easter was originally a PAGAN holiday (so was Christmas) it was to worship the Goddess Eastre.. her lover was a bird who she magically turned into a rabbit as such he either laid eggs or collected them...
THe early Christians tried to wipe out this holiday (and Christmas too) but were unsuccessful so mearly tried to change its meaning...
