I honestly would not recommend it. A group tour with a reputable company is a much safer proposition. Gender roles, extreme poverty, corruption, street crime, narcotics trafficking and political instability make solo travel for a woman inadvisable.

It's not safe to travel any where along it would be good if a family member or friend would travel with you, you might get sick anything could happen and they will be there to help you.

I'd say safer than London, Dublin or New York

If you speak spanish, you know...raised in a Spanish place its fine but if your totally american and very gullible...well results may vary...

it is safe dont worry I did it bymyself and I am just 11 and my grandma and grandpa did it
