A small purse-clutch style or witha tiny handle and a simple flower/bow decoration,not too much glitter (although it'll really depend on what kind of dress you're wearing).
Texture would again depend on your dress/personal taste,but something smooth will be nice - silk,satin or velvet.
Try picking a colour that you like and complements your dress.

No offense but these girls don't know what they're talking about, every woman knows u have to have lipstick or gloss maybe some blush and a compact to check your make up, unless you want your pictures to look a hot mess! you also need mints, maybe there going solo. anyways all that can fit into a small pill box type of purse, with a dark dress u need a dark purse in black or the same color as your dress, as far as texture if you could match it to your dress that would be hot, otherwise anything sparkly that catches the light, or satin. bows and designs are nice but whose gonna notice in the dark. if your dress is fly they wont notice your purse anyways but if they do its gonna be the glitter that gets it noticed. Purses are really a hasle to have at prom. I'd suggest getting one as small as possible that has a strap that you can put around your wrist for dancing. As for color, any color that goes with your dress and shawl. Texture doesn't really matter, I'd suggest something soft like velvet, or something with beads.

a small clutch bag with glitters or a small bow. rectangular or shell-shaped, made of satin. silver or gold glittery purse goes well with dark dresses.seen some cute ones in river island.

depends on what you need to bring with you, i didn't even bring one to mine since all i needed was keys i put them in a friends purse. but it should be elegant and as small as possible a small bag made out of a light fabric (not leather) with beads or sequins is cute and functional.

well the purse should match your color of dress,doesnt really matter of texture......and it should be kinda small..so at least you need to go in the bathroom fro touchups......ex:lipgloss,mascara,and like if u have a small cellphone bring it just in case

one th at u can buy that goes over one shoulder and down the other hip judt something small enough 4 a cell phone yeah that will work(that matchfes your dress)
