There is no "cure". Just blow it with tissue and it should get better in a few days.

there is no cure, there isn't even a medicine that will stop it, like there is for cough and soar throat. They have something to un stuff your nose which will only make it run more until you get all the mucus out of your body. The best thing i can tell you is to keep lots of tissue with you and take a few good hard blows to get as much out as possible, its better to blow than have the sniffles because then everybody notices and gets annoyed. it should be over in a week anyways drink lots of orange juice and it may be sooner.

A decongestant is the best thing for a runny nose but this does not come without side effects..One many can make you tired, the other is taking them too much can cause more harm. For example, the way cold meds work is they dry you up, you can tell since you end up with a dry mouth etc. Bad thing is the runny nose is a postitive thing your body is doing. Our bodies know the right thing to do to heal us but we seem to always want to mess with it such as taking too many meds..main reason is our lives have gotten so busy and demanding we dont have time to let our bodies work the natural course.
When you take the meds and it drys you up the bad thing is your fliuds in your nose etc get very thick from drying up so you run a risk of now getting that pressure from it not coming out and could end up with a sinus infection.
One is to figure out why you have it ...if due to allergies then many meds can help your body stop reacting to the enivorment but if it is due to a cold it is best to let it run its course. You want to try to keep blowing it out and not let it drain in the back of your throat to help it not get into the lungs. The best thing is to slow down and just take a day of resting and drink LOTS of fluids (not sugar products). If sleeping is hard then take a cold med so you can..it is a amazing how much better you feel to just do this for one day, sleeping, drinking and Vitamin C and Zinc. Natural areas to drain the area is STEAM.. get a bowl of water, get it to boil or create steam then put your face near it and a towel BECAREFUL because it will be hot.. other great natural ways is to eat spicy hot foods such as things with hot sauce. Your body will help drain those fluids out and that is what you want.
hope you feel better

Vitamin c is very good for runny noses, and you can disguise the taste with orange juice, in the mean time, if you don't have vitamin c, you could rub your favourite essential oil on your chest and try to keep your head upright, honest, it works!

When you come out of the shower keep your head warm . Go to a doctor and check if you have allergy or not. When you want to sleep warm yourself up. Don't eat spicy food.
