Your last sentence asks the right question - Landlord/Tenant law varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction - including from town to town. You need ot speak to a competent landlord-tenant attorney in Philadelphia, to determine if the person has been staying in the house for long enough to establish a legal right of residence.
Getting advice from Judge Judy or her competitors - or people who watch those shows - will not give you an accurate view of the law in your area.

Been here before. you have to give them a notice, it's the law. You can't just throw somebody out on the streets with no place to go. I had an apartment with a friend of mine and I wasn't on the lease. Well she went crazy and called the cops to get me kicked out. But since I already had paid rent, the cops told her that I didn't have to leave if I had no where to go. So talk to somebody about the step you need to take to get the person out of your house. Good Luck to you.

This varies from state to state..it is easy enough to find out, contact the sheriff's dept or whoever enforces civil judgements/housing laws in you area. If Philly is anything like NY the person , once establishing residency whether on lease or not, paying rent or not , must be evicted and doing the things like other answerers suggested would land YOU in jail for willful eviction .

If someone is living with you and not on the lease you do not have to give them any notice..They have nothing to show that they have any reason to be there. It would be nice if you gave them a short time to leave.

Well here in Michigan, even if that person isn't on the lease if they have CHANGED their address on their state ID and/or Operators license, unfortunately you may have to evict that person. Here it a 90 day process. Check with your local court they will have the answers, for free.

Pack up their stuff in garbage bags and leave them on the porch. Then change the locks. If they call the police or anyone to complain, they will have no legal standing because they aren't on the lease.

you will have to give him the thirty day notice it does not matter if he/she is on the lease or not he/she can prove he /she is living their and if you don't give he/she the thirty days they can sue you for 3 time the amount left on your lease and you would have to pay it. it`s messed up but it is the law

No, just tell them to leave. Give them a couple of days so that they can get their stuff out. You can forcibly evict them by putting their stuff out and changing the locks.

Depends on the length of time the intruder has been there. Also local laws. Talk to a lawyer.
