Go to your town or city hall. They are the ones that control your property taxes. The people who assess your home will have the records on your house and you have the right to see them. If you want a copy of them you have that right too. They might charge you a small fee for coping them though. These records are not on the internet and you will have to go directly to the city hall

I recommend that you call the Appraisal District/Tax Assessor where the property is located. All you have to do is give them the address of the property and they can look it up for you. However, knowing the name of the property owner can sometimes help them to find your information more quickly.

Another source that I use almost daily is the web site at www.zillow.com...

If you want the info quickly, give zillow a try. You simply type in the address, city, state and, if you know it, the zip code. It will search through over 67 Million listings and return to you a house value amount and the exact amount that is paid in yearly taxes. On some of my searches it couldn't find any info on a specific property. But that's okay with me...Heck it's free and I can always call the appraisal district.

Good luck!
