I have a Samsung cellphone. When the battery is getting low, should I wait until the battery is completely drained of energy before I recharge it -- or can I recharge it when it's merely very low.

I ask because there is a conventional wisdom out there in consumerland that recharging a mostly empty (but not entirely empty) battery erodes battery life.

Actually, Despite what people say it is fine to charge your battery even when there are 2 bars left.. as long as you charge it 100%

I recharge mine every night before going to bed. I have done this for a long time and it seems okay. I do this to ensure I don't have low battery during the next working day.

I have the Motorola Razor. I have been told by Cingular sources that it is ok to leave on charge over night. I let mine get real low about once a month but, I leave it on and on charge nightly.

in the old days, you had to drain the battery completely, but not with the new batteries...now I do it half way down, make sure you don't leave it in the car in summer and winter...
