Since it sounds like you are going to intentionally going to crash your PC, I would think that you might look into hooking up an External Hard drive to upload all your pic and music to. It might be cheaper to do that than burning all those pics and music to CD's. Just upload all your stuff, disconnect it and fire away (at the PC). Kinda sounds like your looking to get a new PC. Put a magnet next to your hard drive, or try to find a way to send a power surge through the PC.

em no but if u divide ur hard drive in 2 ( C: + D: ) when ur installing windows u can use on as backup so if ur computer crashes and windows is in c: even if u repair or instal a fresh copy of windows or format C: well dah ur stuff are safe at D: !

Partitioning the hard drive is ideal...however that requires a full reinstall of everything...however, maybe you should look into getting another harddrive...internal or external. I, myself, have a Tera-server (1 TB) set aside just to store crap, and since it is on house network I can access it from other computers such as my laptop, arcase PC, and my HTPC. : )

Hope this helps

well if you crashed the hard drive...no
If you fried the motherboard, then just take the hard drive out and put it in the new computer (if you get one)
