No, because you DO need to have easy teams on the schedule. You just don't need a lot of them. Texas did play and got their butts kicked by Ohio State. They are going to play Oklahoma too. Plus Texas A&M always gives them a challenge. Their schedule isn't a total cakewalk and it never is. If you want to compete for the championship, and they always do, you make sure you've scheduled a mixture of tough and easy games. If you schedule all tough teams, you will not do very well.

I think that they should go down a couple of spots (depending on the performance of the teams just behind them). Teams that are hoping to contend for National Title should not be playing against teams like North Texas (Texas' first game of the season was against a new division 1 team), and now Sam Houston. They need to have a much more challenging schedule to show they are a competitive team.

No one should be playing Division I-AA's, but you can't necessarily drop them for it. Above them in the polls, Auburn had a really bad Buffalo team on their schedule, and will play Arkansas State later in the season. West Virginia had Eastern Washington. Florida has Western Carolina.

No. It's not their fault that they have bad teams on their schedule. The kids can't beat the teams that they don't play. Don't punish them for winning.

Logically speaking, if Texas beat a team why should they be punished... let them enjoy the fruits of there labors..

They should drop. An elite 1A team like Texas should not schedule a 1AA school, that's absurd.
