Ok.. I'm going to visit my wife in the Philippines on January..

I'm really in a tight budget! Since I got my ticket on a high peak season.

Well I want my answer to my question to be based by people's experience and advice.

Well which would you prefer and cheaper.. To get my family picked me up @ the airport which going to cost at least 3,000 pesos or more food and snacks included.

OR

Should I just go home by myself and take the Airport taxi? I mean I wanna know the fare on the Airport Taxi.

Also my point of destination is Guagua Pampanga..

So which one is cheaper? Airport taxi which I don't know tha fare or just get my family to picked me up @ the airport which could cost 3,000 pesos or more..

Please Help me out!! Anybody.. Experience.. Advice..

Will be looking forward for the answer. All answers will be appreciated. Thank You!

i don't know what the Airport Taxi rate would be from the international airport to Guagua, but your travel will be safe and convenient. taxi dispatch has the taxi plate number and the driver details...you get your receipt prior to boarding, pay at your destination; tipping is optional.

it would also be a good idea to arrange for someone to pick you up. just make sure you arrange for a comfortable vehicle to travel in and not too many help. otherwise, your food fears may be more than justified.

either way, you pay the Expressway toll fee. i'm not sure how much it is exactly; might be in the P200.00 area.

give me a day; i can call the airport taxi company and make inquiries. how many passengers? how many pieces of luggage?

email me at windbreaker326@yahoo.com so i know where to reply with whatever i may find out for your needs.

hope this helps.

The absolute cheapest way is to go upstairs to the departure area and get a cab there, about P150 to 5 Star bus terminal. Get on a bus going to Dau, P119. Tell your wife to meet you there and she can arrange transport from there. This is the most common way as well.

Another cheaper way than you are doing is go to this site and make arrangements. www.theville.com Cost is P2,400 and is safe and reliable. The time between the airport and Pampanga is only an hour and a half or so. They will pick you up in a nice van and have drinks or whatever you wish available. I personally use this service if I have a lot of luggage.

Airport taxis at the departure area will charge around P2,000-P3,000, with tolls included or not. Make sure to negotiate this first.

If u have less baggage, u can ask your wife to meet u at the airport and the two of you hail a cab to the bus station for Pampanga, or you two can take the FX taxi and just pay extra sit/s for your baggage. I know there are FX taxi plying the manila-pampanga route. Both are cheaper than getting an airport taxi or asking the whole family to meet u at the airport. You will meet all of them anyway when you get to Pampanga.

There are cheaper car/van rentals in Guagua. Not sure if my in-laws let theirs rented out but u can PM me and I'll ask them if they could give it to you less than P3,000. They are also from Guagua.

Another alternative is to get a cab from the departure area going to the bus station in Pasay (just 10 mins away or less from the airport w/o traffic) approximately less than P70 til you reach the bus terminal. NOTE: Dont give in to cab drivers who will insist on asking for rate higher than P70.00 because the most your taxi fare would go if traffic is terrible would be P100. There are airport guards who can assist you in this to avoid such incident.
At the bus station you can ride either G-Liner or Victory going to Dau or Olongapo. Go down at Sta.Rita and have your wife meet you there. Approximately less than P150. for the fare. So sorry I am unsure of the fare because I don't ride from Pasay terminal.

Hey, Manila people!!!!!!! Help this guy out!!!!!!!

I am from Davao City, in the Southern part of Mindanao in the Philippines.......miles and miles away from the Manila International Airport.

And, I know how some of our fellow Filipino taxi cab drivers over there in Manila can be so sly and so opportunistic when an unsuspecting foreigner or tourist becomes their passenger. You could be victimized! Some of them are like vultures in waiting, or a jackal in search of prey, casually waiting for a foreigner who doesn't know much about the local system of things, and ready to pounce on them! Some of them could charge you triple than the actual cost of the ride! But, I also do know that there are drivers who do not practice this act of deceit; who believe in the Golden Rule, and who are feeling and compassionate. But then again, you will never be able to tell if the cabbie you hailed is the good one, or the bad guy!

And, hey, I think the Manila Airport is way too far from your point of destination. I think that's way too far. Jeesh!!! I can just imagine the taxi meter eating away your cash, man! Yikes!!!

But, I think, it will be a lot safer for you if your Filipino family here comes to the airport to fetch you. That way, no taxi driver is going to be able to dupe you, you'll get to see and meet your family as soon as possible, and there's no probability of ever getting lost! Right?

Choose the safer way! And, good luck!!!!!

:)

It is better to allow your family to pick you up at the airport. The thrill and excitement of your love ones are priceless but cheaper than taking an airport taxi. And it's safer, too.
Hope you will enjoy your stay here.

It will cost you around 650php for a airport taxi to one of the bus stations (PARTAS got a station in Cubao and Parainaqay (wrong spello I think). Your stop should be in Angeles City which is nearer and cheaper for your family to meet you. Around 300 php compared to 3k php by taxi.

Alternatively, you may prefer to land at Clarke airbase instead, Tiger Airways, air Asia and a few other budget airlines operate there. Makes more sense to meet your famly at Clarke which is the home province.

It dosen't make sense for your family to meet you in Manila, firstly, they have to wait under the hot sun for your arrival and get treated like s*** by their own guards there.

My wife a Pina too and drop me a line, I am happy to be of further help. BTW, its quite safe there, people there are aloof but are quite helpful.

Okay, I screwed up there but here the number for the airport taxi,
NAIA Transport Services - 02 8771 3546. Good luck.

The last time I've check taxi service (avis or nissan service), the reliable honest taxis, costs around 650-750 that is within metro manila! normally if you are going to the provinces, they charge a 500 out of town fee plus an hourly rate (I forgot how much). plus the toll fee of 200 php.

I would rather say "let them pick you up in the airport.. You will not wish to travel and pay too much..

When you just came from other country, they will think you have money...Taxi will charge you more..then you will ride from Manila to Gua gua..

Its just the same..and it is safer..Better be safe than sorry at all.
