The streets would be full of corrie extremists burning itv flags smashing their tvs and calling for the death of the head of the infidel itv network. Screaming abusively into the news cameras they will tell you how they are a peaceful audience but they will not tolerate any interference of their chosen viewing and will destroy anyone and anything who gets in their way. 'One day all programmes will be coronation street and people will know the truth' said a pensioner.

Coronation Street is such a part of British culture after being on television all these decades there would be an uproar! I would walk the streets with placards if they ever got rid of "Corrie"

Hypothetical as its really loved. Well, people would send petitions to Granada and would have to do something else at 7.30pm when its on. The birth rate would probably go up and Rita, Jack and Vera would go into old actors home with Norris, oops nearly forgot Emily!!!

The boring simple minded morons who watch it would have to start living in the real world, it would be a big wakeup call for them, but when they re-discover tha art of real conversation they will wonder just what they wasted their lives on.

A lot of us would miss it. It's been running non-stop since 1960 and has won many awards, so it must be doing something right. Those who don't enjoy it don't have to watch it.
