Is it natural to do so? I mean, does the thought even cross your mind?

Gosh hun......I'm about as elder as it gets. lol

Does that mean you guys respect MOI?

But seriously...of course we should. Wisdom comes with age. And I suppose I've always respected the experiences that those that are older than me have gone through. Therefore, they will know better than I.

But truth is.......shouldn't we respect the ideas and opinions of all ages? I think almost worse is the idea that children "aren't old enough to understand." The truth is that kids can see things in a more concrete way. They take things at face value. I think we need to listen and respect their thoughts as well. Oh sure.......we should still guide and teach......afterall.......we are the elders with the wisdom........right? ;)

Always. I think it was instilled into me because yes, I don't even think about it. It comes naturally. Where I work I have to deal with the public and most of the clientele is elderly people that can be really mean and rude and can ramble on. But, no matter how annoying they are I have all of the patience in the world. But, if a younger person comes in I have less patience.

I do respect my elders. Yes, I think it is natural to do so, being that we are a society always preparing to take care of the generations in front of us...it is kind of like social security for mannerisms.

However, if the elder is a butt hole, forget about it and forget about them. :)

Only if they respect me in a mutually satisfy way. Otherwise these boots are made for walking.

I walked out on my Father so many times as a kid that we knew when we should not be together. Once he even helped me leave and gave me a ride to the Bus Stop after I stormed out on him. We both knew what was good for us.

Well I guess because it was drilled into me when I was little it's kind of natural for me now. I'd get knocked upside the head if I didn't respect my grandparents or aunts and uncles. I don't think some of the kids of today are taught that and they should be.

Yes I do respect my elders. It is a natural reaction. It is how I was raised.

Oh yes. Elders to me are like second parents, again my parents taught me this. Give them the seat, open them the doors, and help them when you can. I don't have my grandparents alive you know.

Of course I do..& it is part of my daily life & thoughts...I was taught to respect them..now if they disrespect me then I must react accordingly..but in general I do respect them as they have earned that right by surviving as long as they have..I admire that alone..
