Yes, they warn people that there are gonna be a lot of deaths this fall. And surprisingly this pharmetuical company is developing a vaccination for the bird flu.
Sometimes seems to me it's all fake. And they scare people just to sell their drugs.

Bird flu is still very much an issue. In Asia it is still ravishing poultry flocks in some countries. Indonesia, for example, has just recorded it's 51st victim and has the highest death toll in the world. It is expected that with the onset of autumn the flocks of migratory birds on the move again will spread the virus to other territories. The concern for the disease is still there, just that the highlight is sometimes caught by other stories.

You make a good point. Personally I blame the media for blowing things out of proportion and making the public think that viruses are going to mutate TOMORROW and KILL EVERYONE.
The truth is that no one knows if or when pandemics will take place. We can prepare, of course, and we can do so calmly, but people will always overreact.

Bird flu is still rife in the far east. Still a chance of spreading but as no cases anywhere close the media don't see it as newsworthy. Next dead swan found in europe, it'll be announced that x amount have died or caught it within the last few months in asia etc.
