I've got an i-pod nano. I want to set up an account on the itune store but everytime i try to sign up I keep getting 'not a valid email address' or something like that.

Also I don't have a mac computer, it is a windows xp. Doe it have something to do with this? Any imformation please. I want to download some songs.

I got one yesterday and had the same problem. Its got nothing to do with Windows though. Look carefully and somewhere it says sign into your account ,then it very small writing it says create an account !!!

no the problem is not with your windows. sometimes the itunes network and mailing accounts are jammed due to millions of users using it at the same time. u should try the next day or perhaps create a new account with a new user id, and the user name or id should be a valid e-mail address for their verification.

You dont need a mac to have itunes.
Just keep trying.
Or just get LIMEWIRE!

i beleive you cant use an online email adress @yahoo @lycoss ect its got to be service provider address @bt @blueyonder

use windows media player and rip your favourite cd's and put on ipod... also use limewire and scan everything with antivirus first..
