We're kind of obssessive about it, but along with the usual fertilizing, and watering, we overseed so that we have grass in winter and summer. Also, when cutting we make sure we have perfect lines in the grass..I love those! I've always been told that it's important to cut the opposite way each week, diagonal this week, horizontal the next, then vertical after that. I've found it makes a big difference if you take the time to edge your drive and walk, and use a blower when finished. Good luck!

Watering, cutting, and fertilizing seem to work the best for us. We fertilize about every 3 to 4 months.
