If you've had symptoms of preterm labor for most of your pregnancy are you more likely to go into labor preterm??

These are the symptoms I found for preterm labor:
Menstrual-like cramps, with or without diarrhea.
A feeling of pressure in your pelvis or lower abdomen.
A persistent, dull ache in your lower back, pelvic area, lower abdomen, or thighs.
Changes in your vaginal discharge, which may increase in amount or become pink or reddish.
Persistent, regular contractions of your uterus, 4 per 20 minutes or 8 every hour. 3 These contractions may be painless, though they make your abdomen feel firm to the touch.
Not feeling well, including:
Unexplained fever.
Fatigue.
Uterine tenderness.

I'm 23 weeks pregnant and for most of my pregnancy I've had menstral like cramps every day (usually a couple times a day), lower back pain everydays, changes in discharge..which I assumed were normal, braxton hicks which started early in my second trimester...

I was super tired in my first trimester, which got better in my second but I've been really really tired the past two or three days. I've also noticed more of the menstral like cramps and some pressure the past couple of days as well. I just don't feel right. I don't think it's preterm labor. I'm not having contractions or tightening every 10 minutes and I'm not leaking any fluid nor do I have any brown, red or pink discharge. But I'm just wondering if I'm more likely to go into preterm labor this time. I know it's hard to say...I wouldn't even know unless my water broke because I've had some of these symptoms almost the entire pregnancy. Just wanted to see what people though or what you know about preterm labor and what to really look for and if my already signs and symptoms coule mean I'm more likely to go into preterm labor. Thanks in advance.

The past week or so I have been feeling sick to my stomach. I get tons of heartburn and have been drinking tons of milk because it's the only thing that helps. I have to force myself to eat. I read one response to my question that said something about dehydration and I don't think that I'm dehydrated because I've been drinking more then eating.

Another thing..which I don't know if it has anything to do with it but it's something I notice esp in the morning if that I get very faint feeling and have hot flashes like crazy. I notice this more in the first few hours after I wake up. Any ideas what that's about as well?

All of the above are symptoms of pregnancy at one time or another. Cramps are your uterus stretching, lower back pain is a given if you speak with any other pregnant woman, discharge changes constantly, Braxton hicks should begin in the 2nd trimester although some women do not feel them. try not to worry and when you see your dr. next just bring up these problems to them and see what a health care provider says. I had my first at 32 weeks and there was no warning at all.I had my second at 38 weeks, and I am 37 weeks along right now. Try not to worry about it because the stress doesn't help matters. Good luck to you and congrats on your new baby. :)

Actually, 98% of the symptoms you listed are typical during pregnancy.

Noticing a real increase in vaginal discharge that's pink or red, or more to the point- bloody - is a huge trouble sign. Especially if coupled with contractions. Some lower back pain is normal, but if it doesn't go away when you rest, ie. get off your feet, then it's a good idea to check in with your doc.

If you have any concerns about how you're feeling, you can pick up the phone and call your ob. That's what they are there for.

If you are 36 weeks pregnant, its really not even viewed preterm labor seeing that 37 weeks is full time period. Anyways, if the ache is coming and going it could be labor. If not, it sounds pretty ordinary to me. I am 34 weeks and constantly have consistent stupid affliction in my again and aspects. It is common, youngster is getting bigger and in a position to come back out, inflicting you ache and uncomfortableness. If the anguish is coming and going call your health care professional or L&D. If now not i would say are trying a heat tub to assuage your muscle groups, that is what helps me.

Not necessarily. I had most of those symptoms, except the fever. I have 3 children; my first was 9 days late, and with both my second and third, I was induced the day after my due date. I always thought I would have my kids too soon, but God is good, and everyone's fine. Also, reading too much info on these topics can sometimes instill unnecessary fear in you. Worrying can sometimes make things worse. Discuss your issues with your OB. He\she will let you know if there is a need for concern. Take care of yourself. God bless you.

You need to ask your doctor about this, and drink plenty of fluids. Dehydration causes preterm labor.
