i have also forgiven the girl (who was my best friend at the time) who's actions led to the messy break up?? and also that she continued to stay in touch with him

I think you must be a very emotionally secure girl.To forgive someone who betrayed you so badly is not easy but to hold a grudge is harder and will stop you from trusting again.He must be a scumbag to have strayed and really she did you a favour by showing you what a rat he really is.You deserve friends you can really trust.

Yes it makes sense..You are a forgiving person and there is nothing wrong with that. She may have done you a favour in the long run he maybe was not the one for you. Good luck in finding him.

If forgiveness helps you move on, then it makes a lot more sense then holding on to grudges.

Its ok to forgive but just dont forget because it could end up biting you in the butt again..
