They are picking on individuals breaking copyright laws and giving them the choice pay £5,000 or go to court. In court they would have to argue that the industry is making a loss. but CD sales have gone up because of P to P exchange of MP3's - so the greedy stars that approve this action do themselves no favours. I don't blame them raiding people selling disk on car boots - but swapping files over Lime wire, MSN or whatever is good marketing. I got LND by Lily Allen and now I'm thinking of buying the album. Most people do the same. But the big names don't want the unknowns putting their stuff on the web - they want a few people like Paul Mac Cartney making £500,000,000 not lots of people making £50,000 a year and being happy with what they do. they are just greedy. I want to hear music. I don't want to hear Wogan on £500,000 a year talking crap on the radio over the music. Sack Wogan and all the other overpaid, over ego, past their sell by date DJ's and scrap the TV licence!

very little, authorities are more likely to catch the people who run limewire rather than a inocent user downloading a few files from their site
in my opinion while there are sites like limewire with free access to music, anyone with a p.c is free to download files if they are advertised on the web
go on......happy downloading

The chances are probably slim, but i still wouldn't bother- if you were to get caught, the fines could be very high.
If I were you, i'd stream music from t'internet instead. There are some websites such as www.danceage.com that let you do this for free, legal, and just as good quality.

It is dependent on how frequently you use it and the volume that upload/download. The larger the quantity the greater your chances of getting caught. Use bit torrents, much better anyway.

You know of anybody being caught? Me neither. Those who get caught are those people who download a lot of songs per day because it is these people who mainly sell what they downloaded for a profit.

Be more worried about damaging your computer than getting caught. Make sure you have top notch virus/trojan software and make sure you ALWAYS update it IMMEDIATELY BEFORE going to limewire!

Slim to none.

Only people who're putting bad crap on there or are downloading sick and nasty stuff are usually caught.
