Hi i have bought i belkin (wired) ethernet hub.
I have 4 computers hucked up to this .
Is thier any way of seeing what thier on of the main computer?
Ie. If im downstairs on the main computer and thier up stairs on thier computer can i see what thier on?
Is so how do i do it?

Take it back and buy a router! When you have the router connected, contact me and I will show you not only how to share files but actually watch and control their desktop!

Ignore the d00bz that said you need a router. They're clueless.

Get a copy of Ultra VNC at http://www.ultravnc.com It's a free open-source remote control software package. You can monitor any machine on your network with it. (RAdmin is good too, but is NOT free.)

You can also see what shared files are being accessed in the System Management Console. Right-click My Computer and select Manage from the context menu. Open Shared Folders...Open Files. Any open files will be listed in the right pane.

Yes, you need a router and don't need that switch. Routers are not very expensive. I recomend by one that also has wireless connection. You will be glad you did it. If you have windodws XP Pro, or windows 2000 then no additional software is needed. In widows help look for "Remote Desktop connection).

You can use remote control software such as radmin, http://www.radmin.com/ or check logs in your router - cant help with that cause of the small amount of info you gave.

yes u can do it...there are some administrative softwares using which u can see wht they are doing...also there are some softwares which record their activities and u can watch them later when u have time

i wouldnt have thought you could see what everybody else is on unless you all have the same password
