While a bigger engine can in theory make more power, there's a lot of other things to consider - the weight of the car, the RPM the engine can hit, and whether or not there is a turbocharger or supercharger on it being the most important.

There is almost no relation these days 2,500 cc 300 horse power Subaru wrx-sti or 6,000 cc LS-2 V8 400 horsepower Pontiac GTO. Supercharged, turbo charged, Nitrous Oxide, or just good old displacement. Modern engine management computers fuel injection really has Ford GM and Foreign auto makers on a Horsepower War. And I'm loving it!

The higher the CC's, the more power to pull/push the car or bike.
