If its the same couple and its a monogamous relationship and both people are disease free then theres not a chance.

BUt if its a couple of people who also see others, and hook back up a few times a month, of course.

It only takes contact one time to contract aids or any other STD.

Amosunknown has given the best answer.
If the said couple is having sex only with each other and did not have the disease or exposure to the virus before getting together,
there is no chance of contracting the disease.
If either one is a health worker (doctor, nurse, dentist, para-medical staff etc.,. exposed to human body fluids) or a IV drug abuser who shares the needles with others, or has received blood or blood products transfusion from doubtful donors, they do stand a chance, albeit very slim, of contracting the disease, even if they stay in a monogamous relationship.
As to the frequency of sex required to transmit the disease, like every one of the respondents rightly pointed out, once is enough!
It may be a too-oft used cliche, but it holds true always - Be Good, otherwise Be Safe!!!

If they are married to each other and have not had any unprotected intercourse with any other person, then the chances of their getting AIDs through sex is very limited.

Yeah.. well, aslong as one of you have the std.. if neither of you have it. You cant just pop up one morning and be like omg I have aids.. so no. As long as u know ur parenter isn't screwing some other girl that might have it. Sharing needles and so on. and u get tested together.. Having unprotected sex is fine.. as long as u want a child in return!

I'm assuming that when you say they are a couple that they are definitely not sleeping with anyone else? If one of them has Aids then yes the other is bound to get it. Try condoms. Those are nice. :)

Do one of you have aids or the hiv virus? If you don't. Then don't worry about it. If one of you aren't infected there is nothnig to worry about. If one of you do have the hiv virus or have aids. It wouldn't be smart to have unprotected sex
