Yes but not like most people think..heres what i agree with.
In investigating the consequences of James Clerk Maxwell's equations of electromagnetics, Albert Einstein developed a theory that shows how light waves are observed to behave in different frames of reference. One of the consequences of Maxwell's equations -- and a foundation of special relativity -- is that the speed of a light wave is constant: 300,000 km/sec, no matter what reference frame it is observed in. Einstein built on Maxwell's equations and established that time is not unchangeable, as nearly everyone preceding him had thought.
Einstein later developed a General Theory of Relativity that explains gravity and the geometry of the universe. In both of his relativity theories, he established that time and space are bound together in a four-dimensional "space-time" continuum. Space-time consists of the three coordinates of space -- up-down, left-right, and backward-forward -- plus one of time, and events can only be analyzed and understood in a system in which space and time are linked in fascinating ways.
These theories show that time travel to the future is, in a certain sense, possible. Time passes at different rates in two separate reference frames that are moving with respect to one another. In principle, it is possible for two people to travel in separate directions and return to the same place with more time having passed for one of them than for the other. Whether or not this constitutes travel into the future, however, is a matter of interpretation. In addition, atomic clocks have been used to prove that the warping effect of gravity changes the way time is measured, which is a tenet of general relativity. In order to get significant effects from either of these relativistic effects, however, very fast speeds or strong gravitational fields are required.
But since Einstein's conclusions -- and, indeed, even long before then -- people have considered how one might travel through time, and the implications of such travel. Contrary to popular conceptions, most theories of time travel do not rely on time machines. Instead, proponents suggest that time travel will likely be done by way of entirely speculative natural phenomena -- things like rotating black holes, wormholes, and cosmic strings -- that will transport us instantly forward or backward from one point in time to another
this theory is as good as any i guess.

Time travel to the future is definitely possible. It has been verified experimentally several times in objects moving at high speeds. Unfortunately it only involves a change of a tiny fraction of a second but it can be done. It would be difficult and expensive to scale up to where a person could travel years into the future but we know how it could be done.
Travel into the past is more questionable, there are several theories which seem to allow it but none have been proven. We cant test the theories as they require things which are far beyond our level of technology like taking a black hole and spinning it at 99% of the speed of light. Most of the current theories seem to indicate that you cant travel back in time to before the time machine was built which would explain why we haven't seen any time travelers, or it might just not be possible.

How would you know?
If someone changed something, it would be changed for you, too.
Time travel may be happening all the time. Someone may be altering reality even as we speak. If we in fact are speaking.
I seriously doubt that timetravellers are moving among us. I less seriously doubt that timetravellers have ever visited us. I do not doubt much that time travel (or at least viewing) may eventually be possible, if never practical.
But until someone proves they are from the future (like predicting tomorrow's lottery winner or something), then I will remain a skeptic, thank you very much.

Einstein said it was possible, but you would need all of the energy in the Universe to do it. Perhaps way into the future...our ancestors (who probably resemble our present day selves..somewhat) would have found an energy source to tap into for the fraction of a second it takes to jump into faster-than-the-speed-of-light.....the same speed it would take to start going back into time.
It's quite possible to do it...but not with today's technology. At the current rate of technolgical advances...we may not even see this sort of capability for at least the next several thousand years.
To answer your final question...I do think there are travelers here...in present time....from the distant future.
Hope this helps.....

Pardon the pun, but only time will tell.
Fact is we are having major quantum leaps in technology every couple of years (depending what u are talking about).
Computers for example:
Current pc's are much more powerful than the 1st pc's which were themselves much much more powerful than all the computers in previous decades. (CPU wise).
And we actually have technology now that was once considered scifi or impossible.
Point is, everything is possible, but the main question is, are we ready for that kind of technology?

If it can be imagined, it can be achieved.
Just look at cell phones, portable computers and all the other things we dreamed up in the 60's and are just common place right now.
Yep, time travel is just around the corner. But what I'd really like to see is teleporting. Whoo hooo!! I'd get in my teleporter and be at work just like that and not have to drive. How nice.

I believe time travel may eventually be possible to the past at least. However, we will more likely be able to view it, but not interact with it at all. We will be seeing things that have already happened and if we were able to interact, we could totally alter the future.

Things in the past already happened; they are not happening now in any sense. But Einstein thought that if you could travel far enough and fast enough in space to pass the light that was reflected from the past events, you could see what happened, by looking at that light from that past time. Some people who believe in God and that God can be contacted by meditation simply ask God to show them the images of the past and the future and, according to them, he does. I never experienced this myself.
