i was bought a dell 3000 last year and i was told that it had a dvd drive and it does not. i was told it costs £650 with a printer and 17 inch but i does not even have microsoft word or any programs on it.

i think this was a rip off, what should i have been able to get from dell if i paid £650?

also someone told me that dell often dont include what you have asked for to save money, is this possible? if so can i do anything about it a year on? i really need help?

since you've had it a year it's hard to understand why you didn't see this right away..but call their customer service and see what happens.

Dell screwed me too and I contacted them and they had a tech come and install the programing I had ordered and paid for. Same as you; was supposed to have dvd and cd burner and didn't and they installed the hardware at my home.

Call them up to see if you are still under warranty. They usually don't include MS word. Excel unless you pay for it. It is usually $200 to $300 in US. How did you not notice you did not receive the DVD drive???

1 year latter,I'd say it's sorry charlie.why the hell did you wait a yeat to complain about out right fraud???if you had contacted Dell when you got your pc then would have a valid complaint.I would say they simply sent the wrong computer by mistake.some one who paid for lesser system got your's and you got there's.but after a year just enjoy what you have.

After a year? Probably not. You should have been on the phone with them the day you received the PC.
