Ignorance. People in this country, actually believe that politicians and the President are in charge. Who do you think knows more about what is really going on,a two term President or a civil servant with 20 years on the job?

True that in a democracy people have the power.
True people have the power and obligation to be responsible for their lives.
There are good Americans who worked hard for an alternative and feel that this President is in fact eroding away the democracy they value. They feel that some of their power has been usurped by rampant corruption, election fraud, and a government unaccountable to themselves or their people. There are also good Americans who put Bush in office out of fear or allegiance to their party.. NEITHER group those for or against the Presidents leadership style are "bad" Americans.
American's give up their power when they stop showing up at polls, demanding representation and accountability.
The story is yet to be told if people will just talk about their discontent and do nothing, or work hard to re-establish that which they feel is lost.

Didn't you know that when the next election is over and the Dems are finally back in office that all our troubles in the US and abroad will be over? Oh, there's always the excuse that they were too busy fixing the mess that Bush caused while he was president. The fact of the matter is that Bush spent his first 4 years solving problems left by Clinton and has been making our current problems ever since.

Somehow I get the feeling that "my problems" and the "nations problems" are light years appart in magnatude.
My power to solve national problems starts and ends at the ballet box. Then it becomes the responsibility of our elected officials to do their damn jobs.
Only a few more weeks and all this BS can settle down again for another two years.
But the message IS here on these boards if anyone cares to notice, V O T E

George W. Bush, 43rd and current President of the United States, has caused the United States to become isolated and mistrusted around the world. He has done so by flagrantly disregarding the value and opinions of any person or any sovereign nation that disagrees with His views and opinions. Since he is the leader of the free world, his views and opinions are not taken lightly.

I no longer think that Bush can solve my problems. The congressmen and senators from Texas are (for the most part) butt-buddies with Bush. So no matter how I vote or how I tell the people who are supposed to representing me to vote, they will do what ever our commander-in-chief tells them he wants done. I lost faith in Bush a long time ago. He is out to better himself and not the middle class.

People have to fix their own problems, but we shouldn't be faced with even more problems brought on by our president.
