each flat on a six sided bolt is 60 degrees you really dont need the guage. just tighten to 26 then turn one flat then one flat again then a extra little 1/3 of a flat. this is suitable with caterpillars harsh specs.so its suitible for anything.

Sounds like Nissan sentra stretch bolts Follow the procedure exactly when it says to take the bolts up to torque + angle and back them off . Snap -On has several angle gages set to 0 and pull a two foot long 1/2 inch break over handle to 65 degrees in order twice. The newest innovation is compass heading "Tech-angle" torque wrenches at over 400 each they will leave out the back yard mechanic. I have both 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch tech-angle wrenches and I can tell you the audible and vibration on the Tech-angle trims ten minutes off of each cyl. head tightening. The Gage ring with pointer turns the numbers stay put where you set them by the L shaped metal bar under the number ring held in place with thumb screw. You will insert a socket on the head bolt a short extent ion then the angle Gage using the L shape rod to stop the numbers from turning. Pull the slack out of the tools and set the number wheel to -65 degrees and pull to zero or set the number wheel at zero and pull to +65 degrees. You will find this cumbersome but it has to be torqued that way.

You've got to torque it, and get the right angle.
