You can measure mass with: A. a spring scale, B. a balance, or a C. A regular bathroom scale.


Although a bathroom scale is used for weight, the weight here on Earth will be your mass, and it won't change unless you gain or lose more mass.

It is because no one (Except scientists) will really buy a balance to measure just mass.

Mass is the amout of matter. It is measured on a balance, balancing a known mass against the sample.

Many people do use balances for cooking.

Weight is the pull of the earth on your mass and it varies with where you are on the earth.
