I agree everyone usually gets a severance package, but it does not go on for years and years.

if you and your coworkers got to organize your own severance and retirement with unlimited funds, wouldnt you set up something sweet for yourself?

These people who were elected to represent the people, have put together a retirement plan that we, the taxpayer pays for. And they know we wont all stand up together, cause if we did, I would see that they are moved to social security and do away with their plan.

they would then be forced to fix social security and would do it in record time.

Talk about Golden Parachutes !!
They voted themselves a host of goodies , many years ago .

1. they set their own pay
2. they get it for life
3.secrst service protection for life
4. their super health care for life
5.they get to keep unspent campaign donations
6. special tax laws just for them
7. no mandatory retirement age for them
Add the list goes on !
