For goodness sake, it should be The Age of Reason. It means the period during the 17th century, when after the Renaissance, philosophers shifted to a more empirical and using rationalistic emphasis to try and discover the Truth. Analysis and conclusions in philosopy were thought to be more credible if supported by hard acts and cold logic.
Mathematics and Logic were deemed to be useful tools for thinking. Philosophers like Descartes, Kant, Spinoza, Francis Bacon and thomas Hobbes are examples of rationalist and empirical philosophers. For more, type "Age of Reason" in Wikipedia.
