Fear and reputation. Word on the street is..."Frankie Knuckles is gunnin' for ya'" They break bones and bully there way through life as if they live above the law. Their mentality is pretty straight-forward, if anyone gets in their way, they 'deal' with them! concrete wellies an all.

The psychlogy of a ganster could be down to a number of factors that go in to the make up of a "gangster's" pathology. Anyone going against the moral and legal laws of society could definately said to be that of a contaminated adult, that is someone that has not developed into a rational human being. Someone whose rules on life do not tend to the norm. This can be for a number of reasons. Mental illness (Psychopathy) these are normally the most violent gansters. The Krays, Mad Frankie, The Richardsons.
Other social factors with todays wanna be gangstas, peer pressure, a false perception of having power & control, masking a very insecure and vulnerable internal world. low self esteem, lack of worth, no or very low moral core, poverty, cruel view & experience of the external world, hope that helps.
