Depends on if the dealer is on drugs or not! Many don't sample their wares, but if they are on drugs they probably will do it for their next fix.
If not then it's all about making money.

the psychology of a drug dealer is the same as any business man, it's not an easy job like everybody thinks. Certain drug dealers are not very nice people to deal with ( no pun intended!). heroin dealers, well it's there job to get people hooked but most of the dealers know that their heroin isn't pure very very dangerous. I stand up for the few good caring dealers in this world. most people believe that all dealer are a "menace to society". in my opinion the government is the biggest drug pusher in this world. (tobacco, alcohol, and prescription drugs like Valium, METHADONE, seroxat and many more). these drugs can do more harm then good. ALL DRUG DEALERS ARE NOT HARD PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GET YOU HOOKED ON THEIR DRUGS.some of these people do care for there customer and do feel responsible for there welfare and their not all money grabbing. disagree with me? well that's your opinion!!!! sorry to rant my friend i just saw all the answers to this question and most were all probably uneducated propaganda opinions.

Narcotics are the highest profit product in the world.

If the highest profit was cheese, that's what they would be selling. It's all about the money.

incidentally, do you know what the second highest profit product is?....... Perfume.
