I dont know about BJP etc but I do know that Godse is a hero to the large number of indians who disfavoured Gandhi"s politics.
After independence Gandhi used to start Satyagraha on every issue which went directly against the interest of India.
Gandhi started hunger strike against sending of troops to kashmir after pakistani invasion.He was in favour of ahimsha satyagraha against pakistani invaders.
In west punjab, lakhs of sikhs were killed and their body despatched by train.In reaction to this,Sikhs started to retaliate here.Gandhi started hunger strike again to prevent it.
In Kolkata ,during riot,lakhs of hindus were killed first by muslim league.Ganghi was a silent spectator then.But when hindus were regrouped and started to retaliate, Gandhi came and opposed it.
Ganghi was in favour of giving pakistan huge wealth and money[like a father gives his daughter during marraige].
Actually situation during independence was so critical,it would be very difficult to imagine today.
Ahimsha became a childplay for Gandhi.As a leader of the nation he did nothing to protect his countrymen.Crores of indian became refugee overnight with intolerable sufferrings.
His igo was so important to him that he was ready to let india go to hell to maintain his own igo and image clean.Perhaps he was expecting a Noble prize for his clean image and services rendered to British -raj.That didnt happen.Devil"s own son in disguise went to the lap of Evil in inferno with the sacred hand of Godse.Otherwise India could have destroyed if he managed to live a couple of years more.

Even if BJP and VHP were yet to be born,the Hindu Mahasabha,the precusor of BJP was there. RSS was already there.And it is clear that the Hidutwawadi forces were behind the assasination of Mahatmajee.(Incidentally it may be mentioned that immediaely after the event a fllm apparently shot at the scene of occurence, was exhibited in London which showed a gun held by somebody standing behind Godse the butt resting on Godse's shoulder and the bullets came through the barrel of that gun. This news had appeared in the papers then but for reasons not known nobody pursured this link and the news died down. However, even if the film may be genuine it at best shifts the responsibility to somebody -somebody who was steeped in Hinduwawadi ideology.It is futile to say that the Hindutwa forces did not consider Godse as their hero. I was in Pune at the time, just out of college and there were strong rumours that sweets were distributed there in celebration of the event. But when the earth swelled the news was denied.

Why Godse is hero it can be known by this way , suppose u are four brothers , can ur father give half of the land to ur one brother and let all of u united. is it possible , other the criteria u opted for divide was not to the point which leads to the roits , this was all that rocks the godse and leads him for the murder of Gandhi. its not that it was due to rss or bjp and vhp as non of the party were present at that time only the manded that they loves godse and made them hero.

I happened to go through the confession of Godse. It is insightful. His was a typical view of the Hindu Mahasabha, who ideologies these parties share. His ire was directed against Gandhi for what he termed as appeasement of the Muslims. All these parties have this anti Muslim and anti appeasement policy as their main political plank.

First of all you are mistaken. No Hindu organisations worship the so called Godse as their hero! But it is the the nasty congress which always put the blame of Gandhiji's murder on RSS just in order to survive and hide their own mistakes. They think that they brought Freedom to India but strictly speaking it was not them but the development and the international pressures during the late 40s made the British to leave India and not the Chooonniya's SO called Congress's!
I am not a supporter of any Hindu organisations but I am dead against to the Congress, DMK, Communist and all their allies including the worst women of India--Uma and dirty person Singal.

He was made to believe that Gandhiji was being more liberal to the muslims and that he was responsible for partition of 'AKHAND BHARAT'.
And who made him belive it were RSS and Hindu mahasabha.
Therefore they planned a conspiracy and killed Gandhiji through Godse....
That is why Godsey is still thier HERO...

these were represetator of HINDUTWA and after partition they thaoght that Gahndhi ji's politics is anti-hindutwa. Godse was suffering from HINDU-WADI mentality and was a part of Rashtriyta Swayam Sewak Dal.Thats why he killed Gandhi ji
