most comic fans (i meet) tend to prefer marvel to dc. Do you feel the same?

DC was originally the bases to teach childeren the meaning of right and wrong about law and order
hence the title DC Detective Comics
over the years it was a race of profits against marvel who explored the more extrodinary side of the human spirit
for example DC "for truth justice and the american way"
marvel "with great power comes great responsibilaty"
marvel captured the imagination of the children making them beliave that one person CAN make a differance.
to be a HERO and not a vigalanty
also the plot of the books are more intersing in marvel for example
batman villans are disfiguered or psycotic
i mean a bad comeidian turns madman / killer
where in X-men the villans were persicuted along side the heros
driving them to the dark and emotional realm of evil

I usually meet people who like dc better but I prefer Marvel I mean I like them both but Marvel is way more realistic has great storylines and there motivations are more realistic. So I guess it's because people can relate to the heroes more because some were at one point human not just aliens from another planet.

Marvel is better than DC because:
1. The characters of Marvel Comics have cute nicknames and pet names, such as Spidey, Baby, Darling, Doll, Sweetie, and my personal favorite, Tiger.
2. The characters of DC Comics have to disguise themselves so that no one will be suspicious of their secret identities.

I'm one of the minority I guess. DC has more Icons than Marvel. Without the original big guns of DC, Marvel might not even exist today. DC paved the way for all the other publishers.

I never even read the comics as a kid but as an adult I love marvel. Mainly because Marvel does better movies and it started me reading the comics. Marvel!!!!

Marvel has better characters. DC is so far-fetched. The Marvel characters have realistic lives at school an things like that. DC characters are booorinnggggg

I agree I prefer Marvel as well. Cuz Marvel superheroes are more human. They have more Human characteristics than dc

Yup, I think it's because Marvel characters have REAL problems. The DC characters are a little TOO perfect, in my opinion.
