I live in the US (Texas). The seat belt law is the one I have the hardest time with. I fully understand the safety of it, but I have a hard time with a law telling me I have to wear it. My automobile is my private property; I pay taxes on such so this should not be a government decision. Furthermore, this silly law is present in a state where the motorcycle helmet law has been abolished. I don’t care much for the “concealed” handgun law, at least not the way it is written. If I am carrying my handgun (legally and permitted) why do I have to hide it?

I live in the UK. THey have just passed the Identity cards bill. It will not be compulsory to carry one straight away but there is provision in the law to make it so eventually. Many people in this country are still hoping it can be overturned.

Ummm....the congregation law here where if a group of more than 20 people want to get together for a picnic or something & the cops tell them to move on then they have to or else they can be arrested & held without charge indefinately. Actually - you can be arrested for pretty much anything these days & held without charge from 24 hours onwards.

I live in the UK and am totally against ID cards and biometric information on passports. And not a law, exactly, but I'm still pretty appalled there's been no official investigation into the American rendition flights saga.

The united states. And the law that has pissed me off the most is the patriot act, it gives the government power to monitor all phone conversations and internet usage, it is just a plain violation of privacy

USA, the legalization of abortion. Millions every year legally murdered by irresponsible people who obviously cannot bother with protecting themselves from pregnancy and disease.
