a) B+G+J+I= 2607 months (217 yrs 3 mths)
b) G=B+33 mths
c) J=I=2 G

Use a) and c) solve
B+G+2G+2G=2607
d) B+5G=2607

use b) and d) solve:
5G-33=2607-G
6G=2640
G=440

B=407
J=I=(2607-440-407)/2=880

Georgia is 36yrs 8mths
Betty is 33yrs 11mths
John and Ian are both 73yrs 4mths

Georgia- (2 9/12 Y) + X
Betty- x
Twins- 2x

That should work. Then just set all of those equal to 217, and solve for X. When you get it, go back and plug in that number to each of the equations above.

let betty equal b

then
b+(b+2.75)+4(b+2.75)=217
solve for b
6b+13.75=217
6b=203.25
b=33.875
betty is 33years 10months 15days
georgia is 36years 7months 15days
the twins are 72 years 5months each
