There is a 4WD-specific wrecking yard in or very near Riverbank, can't remember the name of the place right now but it had a complete rear end for my '85 Bronco II about 5 years ago.

Also here is a Ford-specific truck dismantler in the same area:

There are lots of Bronco II's on the road still, so places like Pick-Your-Part Auto Wrecking in Hayward should have some parts ready to pull.

Find a auto machine shop and ask what used drive shaft will work best. Then go to a auto salvage and get what you need. Probably fairly cheap. Have the machine shop cut and balance the drive shaft you have to fit. What they do is actually cut the drive shaft down to the desired length then the balance it like a wheel almost and add a weight so it spins without vibration.

Look up drive shaft rebuilders in the yellow pages some one in Emeryville or Oakland does driveshafts. Just get them to remake a shaft for you. Gather all the parts you have left if they need them for size.

Back in the day those driveshafts used to be a very common problem with the bronco11.You couldn't find one in a salvage yard then and probably not now.I would try to have it reconditioned or rebuilt.May find an aftermarket one too. Good luck
