It's pretty much like why was JFK, Lincoln, and others killed and/or assassinated. Gandhi was a strong leader who took it upon himself to show the British that it's not okay to treat them as they did. It's the fact of someone killing someone else because they don't think their values are right, so killing is the answer to them, and it's a shame that that happened. Gandhi, JFK, Lincoln, MLK Jr., and others like them were true heroes, true people with the guts to fight for what they believed in. Somone just didn't believe in them and wanted them out of the picture, and it's a damn shame that they did that.

He was a PITA and a hard-headed SOB and generally annoying. He was assassinated by a Hindu radical named Godse who was PO-ed because Mohandes K. had supported the payment of reparations by India to Pakistan (even though he opposed the religious partitioning of India, Ghandi was fair-minded about things).
So he was killed over money and bigotry. His tireless protests to free India resulted in the formation of three weakened nations that will probably never be reunited.
Thanks a bunch.

And who made him belive it were RSS and Hindu mahasabha.

Therefore they planned a conspiracy and killed Gandhiji through Godse....
