I don't even think the Beatles is the best band ever. For sure it's one of the most popular ever, but the best band ever is different for each person. I believe that the best band ever is Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, my best friend thinks it's Queen, my ex-guitar teacher Deep Purple, a friend of mine Led Zeppelin, my cousin the Beatles, my brother Scorpions, another friend of mine Metallica. See? I also believe that musicaly Beatles where not something special, they didn't have something special on guitars, or drums, or bass. OK John is one of the best singers ever, but there are many who are better (Freddie Mercury). The point is to listen to their music and undrestand it, and that music to inspire you. That's the only thing that matters. For your eyes Beatles are on the top. I respect it..!!!

There will be no band in the future that is going to be bigger than Beatles. They were just the first BIG, that's the only reason they're famous still. They didn't have better songs, not better haircuts, looks, clothes, videos, talent...
But they will always be "classics" just because they are OLD!
Maybe there were less bands to compete with before, easier. Lots of people liked the same thing. Today we got many more genres, bands, artists, and it is tougher competition, which is why no one will beat the old ones. Same thing with ABBA.
I don't believe in "classics". To me they're just old and suck. There are many boybands that were better than them.

probably not... the mix of genius was a one in a billion chance. if you think about the bands that might be considered a close
in terms of longevity , uniqueness, and sheer number of albums (led zep, rolling stones)... even they don't really come close to the universal popularity of the beatles. john lennon was a musical davinci.

No one ever asked me and as I don't agree that means they aren't UNIVERSALLY ACKNOWLEDGED
And did anyone think to ask any aliens that may be out there?

Not for me, but I assume future generations will have different opinions... All though I can't imagine anyone looking back on this rap music and think a legend has been born!

no. the beatles were unique. other bands are good, but nobody will ever replace the beatles.

the btls may have been best songwriters. many will say stones were best band -- musician wise. i will tell you musicanship wise it was led zep. no argument.
