Sony batteries used in DELL, Toshiba and Apple laptops have all been recalled because they could overheat, and pose a fire hazard to consumers.
Have you ever had any problems with your SONY VAIO's batteries?...

This in not TRUE! Not all Sony batteries used in those mentioned laptops have been recalled. You need to go to your computer manufacturer's respective web site and then check the battery model number against Sony's recall list. Out of my college class that use Dell laptops 3 of my classmates out of 16 have had to send in their laptop batteries for replacement.
